Michael is a digital marketing expert and seasoned healthcare industry executive with more than 25 years in Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals in Asia. Before embarking on his delightful career as an entrepreneur, he worked as the Head of Corporate Planning for Schering AG in Japan and then went on to build Medrad’s very successful medical device business in Asia as the President of Nihon Medrad K.K. He also served as the head of the Radiology business for Bayer Healthcare in Japan. Michael has held leadership positions in numerous community and industry organizations. He also teaches in a Japanese University and consults around the world about health and wellness, digital marketing, medical tourism, healthcare, building businesses and the Japanese medical device industry.

Michael has lived in Japan for more than 30 years and is a bilingual, strategic, dynamic, results-oriented manager.

Peter Cleber is the CEO & Founder of IdeogeniQ, a company based in the Netherlands which aims to support medical device companies to access European healthcare markets, and to select and manage distributors and distribution channels, in order to achieve structural and sustainable growth.

Peter is a Finance expert, holding a postdoctoral degree in Financial Controlling, as well as an MBA in General & Strategic Management. Peter has more than 25 years of experience in Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals in the EMEA market. Before starting his company IdeogeniQ, Peter worked as an Executive Director for MEDRAD, responsible for the company’s EMEA business, while later taking also ownership of the Bayer Radiology business in EMEA.

Based centrally in the European market, IdeogeniQ accompanies companies through all stages of their business development efforts in Europe, including product registration, distributor selection, manufacturer representation, sales & marketing strategies, warehousing & supply chain infra structures and the management of direct and indirect sales & marketing operations in Europe.

Peter is based in Maastricht, The Netherlands, is fluent in English, German, French and Dutch, and is a strategic, creative & results-oriented manager.

John P. Friel is the CEO & President of Vascor, Inc, a pre-clinical medical device company that has developed a unique Ventricular Assist Device for the treatment of patients with heart failure. John is the Managing Director of Preservation Technologies LP, a leading worldwide provider to libraries, archives and businesses of custom preservation and deacidification solutions for print and audiovisual materials.

John is the former CEO and President of MEDRAD, Inc., a market share leader in the medical imaging industry and two-time recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. John serves on the Board of Directors of several private medical device companies and the Board of Directors of Daktronics, Inc. (DAKT).

John is a results-oriented senior executive with extensive global general management experience and knowledge in the medical industry. He has strong experience in building and growing businesses, especially new product development and global expansion. John knows how to deliver results through performance excellence. He is passionate about building profitable businesses through dedicated, motivated employees and an unrelenting focus on customer satisfaction.

John has held leadership positions in numerous community organizations including the United Way, the Pittsburgh Technology Council, the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, the Pittsburgh Public Theater and the Malcolm Baldrige organization at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Denis Olson is COO of COVUE Group, a business that provides Global Technical Support Services and after Sale Product Support exclusively on behalf of OEM’s and Manufacturers. Denis is the former Executive Director of Global Service and Disposable Products Manufacturing and Engineering Manager at Medrad, Inc., a market share leader in the medical imaging industry and two time recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Denis has also held various Management and Engineering positions in varied industries including professional services and heavy manufacturing.

Denis is a disciplined, high performance orientated Senior Executive experienced in varied functional disciplines including Production Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Marketing and Service. He has led International organic start-up business projects, identified acquisition targets, worked with Private Equity partners, performed financial analysis, and led due diligence processes required to support acquisition projects for business growth targets in the US and Canada. He is skilled at developing processes and strategies needed for Mission and Vision deployment, long term strategy development, organizational planning requirements, and Quality Management processes required for performance excellence and Best-In- Class performance. He has developed Communication tools and forums across varied disciplines for strategy roll-out, executive updates, employee updates and ongoing annual strategies to communicate Business information as needed to ensure Business plans are met and executed.

Carmen Serfezi is the Founder and General Manager of S&C Enterprises Ltd., a company providing business development solutions and clinical marketing services to small and medium sized companies manufacturing innovative medical devices and requiring assistance with the implementation of their regional or global expansion plans.

S&C Enterprises Ltd. is also delivering product solutions to economy and quality minded providers of healthcare services aiming towards delivering consistently optimal patient care.

Carmen is an entrepreneurial-minded management executive with more than 30 years in the Healthcare Industry, a master’s degree achiever characterized as a visionary, strategist and tactician. She has a successful background in leading key corporate entrepreneurial projects aimed to overcome complex business challenges and assumed during her career functional management roles in sales, marketing and operations in most European countries and the P.R. China. Carmen has a broad international team leader experience who recruited, led and developed business managers and functional staff in The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, P.R. China, Russian Federation, SE Asia and Latin America.

John R. Tedeschi is President and Founder of Paladeschi Consulting, a business focused on providing a wide range of advisory services to the Medical Device Industry. John is the former Senior Vice President, Global Field Organization for MEDRAD Inc., where he oversaw the development of MEDRAD’s worldwide sales, technical services, and clinical applications teams. He was the driving force in the establishment of MEDRAD’s international business through the development of regional distributor networks, Global OEM partnerships, and through the establishment of direct commercial operations in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and North America, John is a globally oriented senior executive with over 30 years of experience in building and growing businesses in all major markets of the world. He has also worked beyond the medical device industry including involvement with organizations in consumer home services, musical products manufacturing and retail, and entrepreneurial start-ups. John has expertise in strategic and business planning, organizational effectiveness, performance excellence practices, and customer satisfaction programs. He has delivered strong growth results, developed long-term partnership relationships, and built high performing teams around the globe.
